Jamye was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but raised in Dallas, Texas. Though she wasn't able to spend a lot of time in her birthplace, she still feels it influences her favorite foods (seafood and sushi) and affinity with the ocean and natural elements.
She has worked professionally for over 20 years in a variety of industries, including as an English instructor many moons ago and as an IT Project Manager for the past 8 years. Originally a film and photography major, she later grew passionate about literature and art history, obtaining her MA in Aesthetic Studies. This deep appreciation for art and aesthetics provides a strong inclination toward meticulous detail, presentation and stylistic choices as well as distinct creative expression. With an innate love for planning, her work as a Project Manager has also enhanced skills in resource management, budgeting, scheduling, and event coordination. When it was time to concoct her own magical marriage starting in December 2020, all of these traits combined into a personal powerhouse and illuminated a brand new obsession: Wedding Planning! |
In fact, Jamye discovered that Wedding Planning actually comprises all of her absolute favorite things in life: fashion, floral design, video and photography, aesthetics, music, event planning, friends & family, and last but certainly not least - FOOD!
Growing up in Plano, she was exposed to a wide variety of cultural influences thanks to her diverse group of friends and has always been fascinated by different religions, spiritual and philosophical systems. As someone with nontraditional beliefs, it was very important for her to customize her vows and ceremony in a way that was poignant yet subtle and reverent of her own spirituality, so she profoundly understands the significance of this for her clientele.
Currently, Jamye is working toward her official certification as a Wedding Planner with the New York Institute of Art & Design which she hopes will add even more value to her services. In the meantime, she is always looking to expand her network of wonderful clients and vendors so please reach out - if you're interested in joining the team, want to share ideas or need help. She adheres to a down-to-earth yet professional approach with a very intimate connection to your needs and goals, whether it's adhering to your budget, having aerial dancers or not offending your relatives - we'll find a way to realize your vision!
In her spare time, she enjoys watching films with her YouTube creator husband (aka FoundFlix), hanging out with their German Shepherd and 4 cats, cooking, listening to records, playing with legos, meddling in music making, playing video games, reading, writing, and creating. Let's make some magic!
